Submit your comment to protect U.S. climate law

The EPA has submitted a proposal to rescind the ‘Endangerment Finding’ of 2009, in which it was determined. that greenhouse gas emissions may endanger public health or welfare. The proposal also seeks to repeal GHG emissions standards on all vehicles in the U.S. If this proposal passes, the EPA would no longer have any authority to regulate emissions for the purpose of mitigating climate change. You can help stop this!

You can help prevent this by submitting a comment to express your disapproval! It only takes a few minutes. Here’s how, step by step:

  1. (Optional) Read about the proposed rule change at the Federal eRulemaking Portal by clicking here. For information on how climate impacts mental health, including autism spectrum disorder, click here.

  2. Go to regulations.gov, paste in “Reconsideration of 2009 Endangerment Finding and Greenhouse Gas Vehicle Standards,” and click on the Comment box either under or inside the proposed rule document.

  3. Write your comment, fill out the contact information, and submit. You can find a sample below. Alternatively, you can send an email to a-and-r-Docket@epa.gov. Be sure to include “Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2025-0194” in the subject line.

I am writing in strong opposition to the proposed rule, ‘Reconsideration of 2009 Endangerment Finding and Greenhouse Gas Vehicle Standards.’ Climate change presents a serious threat to the United States and the world, and as such, it is indisputably within the EPA's authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. Effective climate law in the U.S. will be crucial if the world is going to mitigate the increasing risks that climate change presents. The EPA’s refusal to set emissions standards would be an enormous failure of its charter to protect Americans. Here are my reasons:
